Hydro jetting: high pressure water through the line

It cleans the pipe. A snake just makes a hole through the clog.
A cable auger punches an opening through a blockage. Water moves again, everybody feels better for a while, and the buildup coating the pipe walls is still sitting exactly where it was. The clog comes back.
Jetting works differently. Up to twenty gallons of water a minute scours the walls as the head advances, and gravity carries the debris out of the system. What you get back is a pipe much closer to the diameter it started with.
